We are a family of entrepreneurs and "fix-it" types, and we love solving problems. The idea for Bitta Blankie came in the middle of the night as we watched our 4 month old baby boy on the video monitor. He struggled as he awoke between sleep cycles, arms flailing and nothing to calm him down. Mimi (the infamous grandmother with all the good ideas) realized he just needed something to hold. She created Bitta Blankie for him, and within the month he was sleeping calmly through the night.
But it wasn't just that he was sleeping, all babies learn how to sleep eventually. It is what Bitta Blankie did for him during those nights, and early mornings, that made us realize how incredibly powerful this concept really is. Those 12 hours stretches were not straight sleep. He would go in and out of sleep cycles and instinctively find his Bitta Blankie for soothing and go back to sleep. The best part was he always had it with him. Some great ideas are just meant to be shared, and this is one of them.
We believe in raising secure, confident and independent kids. It's a life long journey for parents, and it starts from the day we bring our babies home. Our goal is to create innovative products that promote happy families.
