10th Anniversary Celebration
Carnival/Festival for Hummingbird Centre for HopeSep 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Marny and Beth founded the HCH in memory of their deceased spouses, respectively
Keith Williams (1956-2002) and Scott Bailey (1969-2006) whose vibrant lives were tragically and unexpectedly cut short. Both Marny and Beth lost their spouses to cancer while they were in their 30s. You can learn more about their personal stories at this link.
Hummingbird Centre for Hope (HCH) was established in 2012 to meet the unique and
evolving needs of individuals who lose their spouse or partner at a young age, and
encounter themselves shouldering the responsibility of raising a child or children as a
widowed parent. In an environment of hope and understanding, HCH provides lifelong
support to widowed parents with dependent children to meet their emotional, social,
financial and spiritual needs as their grief may manifest in different ways throughout the
life journey. HCH provides tools, knowledge, strength and courage to widowed parents so
that they can create a renewed sense of self and rebuild the lives and dreams of their
young families.
September 2022 we will celebrate 10 years of bring hope to our community and
