Description

No one deserves to go through brain injury, concussion, or stroke alone. As an auction item donor you can help ensure nobody does.

Schurig Center for Brain Injury Recovery warmly invites you to join us in improving the quality of life for brain injury survivors by donating an item to be included in the auction at our 10th Annual Brain, Art & Music Gala on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Schurig Center looks forward to celebrating with 125 guests from throughout the Bay Area at the Osher Marin JCC in San Rafael, CA. This festive evening includes live music, wine, appetizers, an auction, and an inspiring live program. Plus, the best part… all proceeds benefit Schurig Center’s programs that help people live their best life possible after brain injury.

Your auction item will help provide rehabilitative and supportive services for brain injury survivors. Schurig Center is the only non-profit in the Bay Area offering this array of life-enhancing services, and they are powered by generous community members, like you.

ABOUT SCHURIG CENTER

Since 1985, Schurig Center continues to be the only non-profit in our area picking up where the healthcare system leaves off to help brain injury, concussion, and stroke survivors and their families thrive.

There is a famous saying: “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.” In the U.S., every 15 seconds someone’s life and plans are changed by a brain injury.  When a person goes through a brain injury, it’s life-changing and it can affect everyone in their life. It’s like hitting a ‘pause’ button on life. Health insurance and finances only go so far, and often not far enough. That’s where Schurig Center picks up. We help press ‘play’ again. We provide a safe, compassionate place where survivors can learn to adapt to life changes, regain essential skills, and build new lives of value and purpose. Schurig Center is also a founding member of ConcussionSmart Marin, a coalition collaborating to develop standardized protocols and education to help Marin County’s high school staff, parents, and doctors provide the best possible care for students and athletes who have a concussion.
