Seeking Sponsorship for 10th Annual Charitable Chili Cook-off!

Sponsorship opportunities range from $500 to $5,000+. To book your sponsorship contact Rick Sindt and request our sponsorship booklet to learn more about our promotional benefits.

Over the past ten years, the Charitable Chili Cook-Off has established itself as the signature fundraiser for Arts of Life's Chicago Studio. Join us as we welcome Doug Sohn (aka Hot Doug) and David Eigenberg of Sex in the City and Chicago Fire as celebrity judges. This popular community event packs our studio each year, providing a great opportunity for you to support our programming while promoting your business in front of hundreds of engaged, supportive, and enthusiastic guests.

Who Are We?

Most day programs for adults with disabilities don’t allow for a choice in the work they do, or provide professional development opportunities that allow them to master new skills. The severe lack of opportunity inspired our founders to develop an alternative model focused on artistic vocational opportunities.

Opened in 2000, Arts of Life was the first program in Chicago to provide meaningful vocational opportunities in the arts for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The studio serves as both an alternative day program and creative epicenter for its artists. A second location was opened in Glenview in 2010 at the request of North Shore parents seeking similar revolutionary programming for their children. With an emphasis on visibility, our artists have participated in local and international exhibitions. This visibility is expanded through our two bands and year-round programming
in each of our galleries. Funded partly by the Department of Human Services, Arts of Life is proudly supported by The Coleman Foundation, Chicago Community Trust, Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, the Illinois Arts Council, and depends on fundraising efforts such as this to sustain its program.

Our Mission: The Arts of Life advances the creative arts community by providing artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities a collective space to expand their practice and strengthen their leadership.

How Your Sponsorship Helps Us

Your support increases the independence of our artists. Funds raised by the Chili Cook-Off support the maintenance and operations of the studio, including the pursuit of professional development opportunities through our Artist Enterprise Program, an exciting initiative which provides the needed infrastructure to our artists to direct and self-manage their professional careers.
