Description

We are reaching out to request support for our Senior Brown Bag Program, which provides essential nutrition to over 3,500 seniors in Merced and Mariposa Counties.

Many seniors in our community are on fixed incomes, often making tough choices between necessities like food and medications. With the average Social Security income of just $1,860 per month and essential expenses often exceeding $2,200, many seniors face food insecurity daily. Our Senior Brown Bag Program aims to alleviate this hardship by providing twice-monthly deliveries of nutritious food, each bag containing 18-20 pounds of groceries.

This year, we are working towards a goal of providing 700,000 meals. The average cost of a meal in our area is $4.36, but through our efficient program, we can provide two meals for just $1.00. To reach our ambitious target, we need to raise approximately $350,000. Your support can make a significant difference, helping us to ensure that no senior in our community goes hungry.

We would be honored to form partnerships, either through a financial contribution or in-kind donations. A sponsorship would not only provide crucial funding but also demonstrate your commitment to enhancing the lives of our seniors. We are also open to discussing how your involvement can be highlighted through our upcoming 11th Annual Sharing the Harvest event, where your support will be acknowledged and celebrated.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to support our Senior Brown Bag Program. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and ensure that our seniors receive the nourishment and care they deserve.
