Lifting the Silence is Community Brain Injury Services' signature annual fundraising event. 2022 is the twelfth year for this event, where over 150 area professionals, community partners, and civic leaders will gather on May 21st at the Maymont Nature Center in Richmond, VA to raise funds for the over 400 survivors of brain injury that we serve annually. Community support is imperative to the success of Community Brain Injury Services' mission of empowering survivors of brain injury to regain and maintain their independence and achieve fulfillment as productive members of their community. The funding received from Lifting the Silence ensures Community Brain Injury Services can continue to provide quality, life-changing services to brain injury survivors in the Metro Richmond and Virginia Peninsula areas. Lifting the Silence also provides the opportunity for Community Brain Injury Services to continue to increase awareness of traumatic brain injury and the thousands of Virginians it affects.
