Other Event Type for Survivors of Suicide LossJun 01, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
12th Annual San Diego SOSL Day - Saturday - June 1, 2019
What is SOSL Day?
SOSL Day is an event focused on hope and healing for those left behind after a suicide loss. The program includes an opening talk, followed by a Question/Answer panel of people who have successfully navigated the traumatic grief of losing a loved one to suicide. The event is a unique opportunity to learn from others who have walked this path before us. After a catered lunch, participants break out into facilitated support groups based on their type of loss.
Why would I attend SOSL Day?
It is not often that we in the San Diego Survivor community have an opportunity to meet and talk with others who share a similar loss. We have much to learn from one another. Research shows that being a part of a supportive community that offers acceptance, comfort, and encouragement is important in the healing process. SOSL Day brings survivors together to help each other on our respective journeys on to the goal of living with ope once again.
Why would you want to donate to this event?
Those left behind after a suicide are in desperate need of support and hope. we will use your generous donations as door prizes for those attending our "Whispers of Hope" event. Sometimes it is truly the little things that give us the strength, courage, and hope to keep moving forward on our healing journey. Your support might just be that Whisper of Hope for one of our attendees.
