We are thrilled to announce the 13th Annual Chili Cook-Off benefiting Casa de Esperanza will take place on Sunday, November 5th from 2 PM – 5:30 PM at Powder Keg! This amateur chili cook-off brings the Houston community together for tasty chili, friendly competition, and red-hot fun all in support of fostering a bright beginning for children ages newborn to six years old who are at risk of child abuse or neglect. In addition to unlimited chili tastings, the Chili Cook-Off features great music, kids’ activities, yard games, a dog costume competition, an exciting raffle, and fun for the whole family. We'd like to respectfully request an in-kind donation to our raffle. Our raffle raises over 15% of our total proceeds and is a significant fundraising effort during the event.

Because we do not charge for any of our services, we depend entirely on the generosity of the community. Casa de Esperanza provides temporary, impactful care for children while simultaneously partnering with parents to refocus their future and stabilize their lives. Our goal is to end the generational cycles of foster care, empower parents, strengthen families and ensure children live in a safe environment where they can grow and thrive. Since our founding in 1982, more than 6,700 children have been provided with safety, health, and HOPE.
