Since 2010, Puppy Rescue Mission's mission has been to help our military members bring home their “battle buddies”—the dogs (and cats) that they bond with while stationed overseas and can’t bear the thought of leaving behind when they return home to America.

Despite not having a presence in Afghanistan and other high-profile war zones, we are busier than ever, and requests pour in each day from military members stationed in Romania, Iraq, Kuwait, and so many more. Sadly, funding is at an all-time low, and we need YOUR help so that these heroes don’t have to leave their best friends behind.

We are hosting our 13th annual fundraising event at Centennial Center Park on Saturday, June 10, 2023. We expect about 100 supporters as well as military members and their international rescue dogs to attend. Funds raised at the event play a crucial role in supporting our work year-round.

We never turn a military member away. While stationed in war zones, our military members seek the comforts of home to get them through each day including forging bonds with local stray dogs. They care for them and, in return, these dogs fill an emotional need for a sense of home and normalcy. And, just as our soldiers are trained not to leave a buddy behind in the battlefield, they too want to save their 4-legged battle buddies. Since our inception in 2010, Puppy Rescue Mission has rescued more than 4,000 animals from nearly 60 countries for these brave heroes. We handle all of the fundraising and logistics to bring these animals to America to live a happy life with their military members, often providing them with much-needed comfort and strength as they transition back home after deployment.
