Description

Horton’s Kids is a non-profit working to empower children growing up in DC’s most under-resourced communities so that they graduate from high school ready for success in college, career, and life. We are in the midst of preparing for our 14th annual Give Thanks and Give Back reception that will held on November 17th with virtual and in-person elements.

The main event at the reception is an auction where our guests can bid on incredible packages. At our last in-person event, the auction was able to bring in over $40,000 to directly support Horton’s Kids’ comprehensive academic, youth development, and basic needs supports that achieve tremendous outcomes: in fact, children in Horton’s Kids are twice as likely to graduate from high school.

To celebrate our return to in-person events, we’re hoping to curate a phenomenal auction experience that both virtual and in-person attendees will be able to take part in. This year we have ambitious plans to raise $45,000 from the auction.

To that end, we ask that you consider supporting Horton’s Kids by providing an item for the 14th annual Give Thanks & Give Back auction on November 17, 2021.

The 500 Horton’s Kids participants have big dreams and the potential to achieve them. With your donation, you will help Horton’s Kids adapt to their changing needs from early childhood to high school graduation ensuring they are equipped to break a cycle of multi-generational poverty.
