Our 14th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Swansea Country Club, 299 Market Street Swansea, MA. This event is a fun social event and a particularly important fundraiser that supports several activities directly affecting local families and people in need in our community. Outreach initiatives supported by the Church over the years include a weekly food pantry, meeting space for local adult and youth groups, Christmas gifts for children, heating assistance and many other responses when needs arise. This past year has been a particularly challenging time for us given the constraints of social distancing restrictions. Fund raising has been down while the needs of those in our community have grown. Through great effort and determination, we have kept our weekly food pantry open over the past year, maintaining weekly support for hundreds of families, children, elderly and even those without a home. In the coming year we look forward to a return to a more normal level of activities including fundraising to catch up with demand. An outdoor fundraising event like a golf tournament at the end of August is a great step in that direction. To make this event successful and fun we need sponsors and golfers. We ask that you help us promote this event by spreading the word, considering putting together a foursome to participate and offering donations in the form of tee sponsorships and/or donating raffle items. Sponsorship of this event is a wonderful way to reach customers in surrounding communities. The day starts with 18 holes of golf with a shotgun start at 1pm followed by a wonderful dinner with raffles and prizes. At each of the 18 Tee boxes, we will put up signs that advertise the sponsoring businesses. The cost to sponsor a Tee is $100.00. Another way you could promote your business or special talent is to donate a gift basket, gift certificate or item that represents that we can add to the raffle held after dinner.
