Our 14th Annual Japanese Culture Night at Thomas Dooley Elementary School in Schaumburg will take place on Friday, May 6th, 2022. Over 400 Dooley children and their families will be invited to this very popular event.
For our annual auction, we rely on donated items to help us keep our costs low. If you are able, we would love it if you can make a donation for our silent auction to help us achieve our mission. Any donation of goods, services, or gift certificates, of any value, would be welcomed and appreciated.
Funds raised by the auction are used to help keep the costs of our programs low and assist to foster our students with the ability to immerse themselves in Japanese culture. Going through Dooley’s Japanese immersion program has a long term impact on a student’s personal, professional, academic life, which positively and unequivocally influences the career path, world-view, and self-confidence of students.
Your support will provide exposure and define a moment in a young person’s life. That will forever continue to impact their life for many years after the experience.
Schaumburg Oyanokai is a not-for-profit organization. Our main purpose is to provide parents and children of Thomas Dooley Elementary School with ongoing Japanese educational and cultural experiences to develop increased awareness and understanding of Japanese culture.
