Description

We are proud to bring back an amazing event that will benefit our wonderful communities we serve including the Mission, Excelsior, Bernal Heights, Glen Park, Visitacion Valley, Noe Valley, Inner Richmond, Outer Richmond, Inner Sunset, Sutro Bath and SeaCliff.

Over the last 130 years countless children, families, and older adults have benefitted from our services and the generosity of donors. This year we are bringing back this event to mark the 14th anniversary of the Mission & Richmond District YMCA’s Sip and Savor, an annual wine and food tasting fundraiser held at the General’s Residence located in Fort Mason. This event has allowed us to provide increased services to over 4,000 of the city’s most vulnerable youth, families and older adults. We ask you to join us in raising awareness and funding to further support our community members.

Vital services such as: free and low-cost childcare, providing a safe place for over 1400 children after school each day and our full day older adults program, make the Mission & Richmond Y an asset to the communities we serve. Primarily serving low-income residents, the Y relies on charitable contributions and funds raised through special events to ensure that financial aid, scholarships and more are available to the people who need it most. Your participation helps to ensure that fellow San Franciscans are provided the opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.

This year’s event will take place on February 9, 2023 and will feature 25 select wineries, local chefs, food tastings, live music and an auction. Wineries like Cakebread Cellars, Rombauer Vineyards, and Roederer Vineyards have participated in the past. We anticipate 350+ attendees and hope to continue to raise $100,000 for programs that benefit over 50% of the youth in San Francisco.
