The North Suburban YMCA is hosting our biggest fundraiser that gives low income families the ability to come to the Y, sign up for classes, partake in community events, and live an overall healthier lifestyle. Funds raised at this event directly impact programs such as our 2 Seconds 2 Long anti-drowning program, Diabetes Prevention Program, provide handicap accessible transportation for individuals with disabilities and more. 

The North Suburban YMCA promotes values that build strong families and the health of each individual’s spirit, mind, and body in an inclusive, welcoming environment. The YMCA is a community-based organization and believes that its programs and services should be available to everyone. Our scholarship program ensures that no one is turned away due to the inability to pay.

Every year we hold our signature fundraising event, the 14th Annual Ken & Alta Thiel’s Strong Kids Dinner, which will be held at Chevy Chase Country Club on April 17, 2020. Thanks to help from businesses like you, we usually raise $250,000 for Strong Kids assistance at this event every year. This year is our 51st anniversary celebrations so our goal is to double those funds and we need your help to do that for our families. Five hundred of the North Shore’s who's who will be in attendance ready to support the YMCA. Our guests of honor show their support through the silent auction, ticket sales and donations for this great cause. Not only do our patrons support the YMCA’s mission but also gain access to an excellent networking opportunity during the event as they mingle throughout the evening.
