We are pleased to announce that plans are underway for the 2018 Thanks Mom & Dad Fund® Thanks A Million Gala​ ​marking its 15t​ h​ Anniversary. On November 8th we will celebrate the inspiration of older adults in our lives with festivities that include a reception, dinner and our trademark silent auction at the Marriott Marquis Atlanta. You’ll be glad to know that acclaimed journalist Jocelyn Dorsey, WSB-TV, Channel 2, and Michael Kelly, aka Doug Stamper of ​House of Cards, ​are planning to return as Masters of Ceremony to help us celebrate at this great anniversary party!
The last silent auction had some rather unique and interesting items and we look to raise the bar this year! Please consider donating an auction item to help us celebrate another successful event by honoring those who led the way for us.
This is your chance to be part of an event that makes an impact on the lives of older adults! We know that too often people do not realize the needs of the elderly until there is a crisis. An older person's health declines when they become isolated from the community. They are often at risk nutritionally and medically and may have no transportation. They are invisible except to family members who search for caregiving resources. For those without family, it's even more devastating!
The Thanks Mom & Dad Fund® is the only fund-raising umbrella in Georgia that provides critical life-links by supporting vital services for seniors, including those most in need and the homebound elderly.
