We are excited to invite you to the 2025 Dinner Dance to benefit Shady Oaks Camp for People with Disabilities, a special evening of dining, dancing, and celebration! This event will take place on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Dinolfo’s Banquets in Homer Glen, IL.

We are seeking your support through sponsorships and donations of silent auction or raffle basket items. All sponsors will be prominently recognized in our event program, on event signage, and throughout promotional materials. Donors will also be acknowledged in our event program and on signage during the event.

About Shady Oaks Camp

Shady Oaks Camp (SOC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing outdoor experiences and recreational opportunities for children and adults with all types of disabilities. We strive to enrich the lives of our campers in an inclusive community setting with a highly personalized approach—boasting an extraordinary 1:1 camper-to-counselor ratio. Our diverse and international staff, with participants from over 15 countries in 2024, create a unique cultural experience that many of our campers might otherwise never have.

SOC is owned and operated by the families, parents, and friends of our campers, making it a truly grassroots organization. Every year, the $550,000+ needed to operate the camp must be raised through donations, fundraising, and the efforts of volunteers. As a privately funded organization, we do not receive government support or external grants. Events like the Dinner Dance are essential to ensuring the continued success of our programs and mission.

Looking Ahead

In 2025, we will celebrate our 78th year of camp! The funds raised from this year’s Dinner Dance will help enhance our programs and improve the infrastructure of our camp facilities.

Despite the challenges posed by rising costs for food, utilities, and staffing, we are optimistic about the future. We are thrilled to announce our continued partnership with Camp Fireside, an inclusive program for individuals with disabilities. This collaboration brings not only much-needed rental income but also the exciting opportunity to expand our offerings with year-round programs for our participants.
