Downey Side… Families for Youth will be holding its 16th Anniversary Gala on Thursday, June 27, 2019.  This year we will celebrate 52 years as a successful adoption agency founded by the Rev. Paul Engel, in 1967 in Springfield, Massachusetts.

We would like to thank you in advance for your support over the past few years.   As most of you know Downey Side is devoted to finding families for children who are without parents and living within a foster care system.  Downey Side, named after Margaret Downing, the first parent opening her home to a lonely teenager.  Since then the agency has grown into an adoption organization that has found loving families for over 8,000 “waiting children”.  Downey Side is dedicated to the conviction that every child has the right, a desire and a need for a permanent family. 

Gala proceeds help us continue our efforts to help children and families come together.  Please support us.  You may donate an itemized gift basket (unwrapped) or a gift certificate that reflects products or services you offer, or you may choose to make a monetary contribution to help us and buy prizes for the silent auction.
