Description

On behalf of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, I would like to request your support for our 16th Annual Arizona VisionWalk on Saturday, February 26, 2022. This annual fundraising event helps light a path in the darkness for the people who are losing, or have already lost, their vision. The event will feature an amazing silent auction, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and a 5k walk at Glendale Heroes Regional Park.

The Foundation Fighting Blindness is the world's leading private funder of retinal disease research and is dedicated to finding treatments and cures for macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa (RP), and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases that together affect more than 10 million Americans and millions more throughout the world. Since its founding in 1971, the Foundation has raised over $856 million to fund promising research which has resulted in discovering the building blocks for cures through novel treatments like gene therapy, pharmaceutical therapy, nutrition, drug delivery, and retinal cell transplantation.

I am reaching out to you in hopes you will support our Arizona VisionWalk by donating an item for our silent auction.

Our auction plays a crucial role in raising the necessary funds for the Foundation to provide a beacon of hope for those affected with blinding diseases and will drive groundbreaking research that provides preventions, treatments, and cures. Our goal through the VisionWalk program is to grow and spread awareness, raise funds, and unite the community at large. Each in-kind donation is tax deductible with the Foundation's Federal Tax ID #23-7135845.

Please visit our Arizona VisionWalk web page to learn about more ways you can participate. Give.FightingBlindness.org/ArizonaVisionWalk.

Thank you so much for considering our request. Please feel free to contact me at 424-343-2539 or KHuang@FightingBlindness.org if there is any additional information that we can share with you or if you have any questions. Together, we're winning!
