Description

The 16th Annual Race For Grace to benefit the Reflections of Grace Foundation is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Norwin High School in North Huntingdon, PA.  The Race For Grace, which began in 2007 as a grassroots effort led by a small group of friends, has developed into a true community event and has grown considerably over the past 16 years – the 2023 Race For Grace successfully brought in over $190,000 and attracted nearly 2,000 runners, walkers, sponsors and volunteers.

In addition to the 5K Run/Walk and the 1-Mile Fun Walk, the event includes activities for the whole family -- children's games/activities, raffles and auctions, food for sale, a bake sale, dance performances, hair donations, etc.  Our fundraising goal for this year’s Race is $170,000.

The success of the 15 Races can be attributed to the dedicated organizers and volunteers, along with the contributions of corporate sponsors such as C Harper Auto Group, The Kanaan-Yezovich Group at Baird Private Wealth Management, Dollar Bank, Target, MSA and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Each year, the event has been covered by numerous local news outlets, including all three Pittsburgh TV news channels, creating much needed positive awareness about the battle against pediatric cancer.

Monies raised by the Foundation fund grants directly to families with children battling brain cancer, and are used to fund crucial research grants, with the intent of someday discovering a cure.  To date, Reflections Of Grace has given $873,000 to help 600 families of children battling brain cancer, across the United States, and has awarded $710,000 to fund crucial research grants.
