Description

The Sandy Maxwell Tee It Up for the Kids is an annual golf event hosted by The Minnesota National Guard Youth Camp. All proceeds generated at this event go toward offsetting the camp fees for the children who cannot afford camp, replace worn equipment and pay for lodging and food, and so much more. This camp was created for the dependents of our Minnesota National Guard members with the mission to provide a safe and supportive environment to help children navigate the challenges they face due to separation and deployments.

What can you do to help make a difference in a child’s life?

1. Register to attend the event: the registration fee includes a round of golf, cart rental and dinner.

2. Sponsor a hole at the event: fee includes a golf cart, table and chairs

3. Donate items for raffle prizes / silent auction

Forms can be found online at MNGYC.org

About Camp:

Approximately 300 youth, ages 10-15, converge on Camp Ripley in Minnesota every summer to attend the Minnesota National Guard Youth Camp. The campers are dependents (nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters and grandchildren) of current or retired Minnesota Guard members. They spend six days exploring Camp Ripley and experience the military base their relatives go to for training. They gain an understanding as to why family member(s) serve in the National Guard and how to cope with the stress and confusion of separation/ deployments. Camp also promotes respect, friendship, leadership, team building, self-confidence and community involvement and teaches about preserving their environment for future generations.

The Minnesota National Guard Youth Camp is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is ACA accredited and 100% volunteer run.

With your support, we can keep the camp available to our military children. We thank you for your time and consideration to support our camp.
