RE: 16th Annual Silent Auction benefiting the CMOM Scholarship Program

Dear Potential Charlotte Mothers of Multiples Supporter:

The Charlotte Mothers of Multiples (CMOMs) is proud to host its 16th Annual Silent Auction as one of the largest support organizations in the nation for parents of multiples (twins, triplets, or more). The Silent Auction solely benefits the CMOMS Scholarship Program and will be held virtually the week of May 9th through May 16th.  This event is open to the public, so our attendance extends well beyond our 250 members.

CMOMs is an organization which you will be proud to support. Founded in 1960, CMOMs is a non-profit organization supporting families of twins, triplets or quads that currently serves over 250 families in the greater Charlotte area. Support services include parental support programs, information and equipment exchanges, social support networks, educational opportunities and scholarship programs. Additionally, we work with area hospitals and doctors to promote awareness of multiple births and provide support for their patients.

CMOMs awards need-based scholarships to members and their children to assist with special health, educational, or recreational needs. 100% of the proceeds from our auction benefit this program. Examples of the types of needs that are met include, but are not limited to:

Therapy to assist children with medical conditions and/or developmental delays

Higher education fees for members and/or their children

Support for moms in with costs associated with furthering or changing their career

It is our sincere hope that you will choose to be part of this worthy cause by donating an item or service for our event and/or auction. Our members volunteer hundreds of hours for the betterment of our communities, and the Scholarship Program is one simple way to reward them for their efforts. Over the past two years we have been able to raise over $25,000 for our members!

This year we are excited to offer sponsorship opportunities at various donation levels, all of which are described on the enclosed Gift Donation Agreement. We sincerely hope that we offer one to meet your financial/marketing needs.

Keep in mind that your donation is tax-deductible. CMOMs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and the CMOMs FEIN # is 56-1629777. Supporting documentation about our tax-exempt status is attached.

Again, thank you for considering the CMOMs Silent Auction as a worthwhile cause. Please do not hesitate to contact me at (774) 930-9246 or at simunektwinmom@gmail.com if I can answer any questions or assist with picking up donations from your premises. If you choose to participate in our event, please refer to the enclosed contract by completing and returning it to the address below.

Sincerely,

Grace Simunek
