APIL is an organization composed of SMU law students who wish to dedicate their lives to public service. We serve many purposes: raising awareness of public sector and pro bono work through career panels and community events, helping students explore how attorneys address social issues and effectuate change, and raising money to provide stipends for outstanding law students who secure summer volunteer internships in nonprofit agencies, government entities, or public interest organizations.
