Description

The 17th Annual First Federal Savings Bank Price is Right for Fighting Child Abuse is Saturday, March 11, 2023. Last year’s event was once again a huge success with proceeds exceeding $25,000 and approximately 400 participants and volunteers in attendance. Proceeds from this event aid LCCACA in our continued efforts to protect the children in our community who have become victims of abuse and to bring awareness, prevention, education and intervention programs to the community as they pertain to child abuse. This year’s event looks to be our “Biggest” ever.

In Lincoln County in 2022, 2124 children were reported as abused. While we agree that this is a large number of children, we feel strongly that more children are being served because more individuals are hearing our message that “child abuse is everyone’s business”. They are no longer turning their heads but are picking up the phone to file a report. Here at the LCCACA, we take our work very seriously. We are dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in all forms and providing intervention and treatment when our children have become victims. Child abuse and neglect have a devastating impact on the life of a child that goes beyond the incredible physical and emotional pain that is inflicted upon them. Most often these children suffer from behavioral problems that last a lifetime.

Our organization’s mission: The Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse’s Child Advocacy Center is dedicated to being the primary source of relief through a coordination of efforts when a child is victimized. The Child Advocacy Center was established to respond rapidly and effectively to reported cases of child abuse, with intent to minimize further trauma to the child and non-offending family members, to promote appropriate therapy for the child and non-offending family members, and to follow-up with the child and family throughout the periods of investigation and therapy.

We can only do the work we do with the love and support of a generous community filled with people like you. We are already laying the groundwork for our upcoming event. We hope that you will consider making an early commitment to being a sponsor or a donor of a prize, large or small, for our silent auction that will take place at the event. Your much-appreciated donation to this event will assist us in providing continued services to child victims.

Thank you for your time and your consideration. We look forward to having a fun and successful event this year!
