This event’s success has been due to the support of businesses and organizations like yours, and we are thrilled to let you know that we will be bringing this beloved tradition back to an in-person race on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022. We are also excited to let you know that we will continue the virtual option as well, for those who can’t make it in person.

This annual event began in 2005 with only 93 participants, raising just $600 for Hospice.  The race has grown remarkably and now averages 350-450 participants and has raised over $60,000 for Hospice. The race is a USA Track and Field certified 5K, with chip timing.

In addition to raising money for Hospice, this race has become a great community event, as part of the grand Fair Haven Fourth of July celebration. Families, neighbors and friends have made it an annual tradition to come out that Saturday morning and be a part of the event, even designing their own tee shirts for the race.  Many more come out to cheer on the runners, volunteer and support the race.  Following the award ceremony, many head to local Fair Haven businesses and July 4th venues/attractions. We are so pleased to be part of this tradition and we are excited to announce a new addition to our race traditions – a Kids Fun Run, sponsored by the Auer Family Foundation!
