This year's picnic on April 20th will be our 18th picnic for the community! The entry to the picnic is free and open to the public as well as Apple Creek families. We usually have between 250-300 attendees. At the picnic children are able to play games, do scavenger hunts, bounce through bounce houses, and get their face painted (all free). Attendees can purchase tickets for buying pizza, snacks, and drinks and also view and bid on the items in our silent auction - which is the main way we raise funds at this event. We have silent auction baskets that consist of everything from toys and home goods, handmade gifts from each class at the preschool or from teachers, to community donated products from stores, gift cards for restaurants and hotels, to some vacation packages. We are hoping to raise at least $10k this year to help pay for the phase II construction of the school's outdoor learning classroom.
