I am writing on behalf of Chemo Comfort, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that I founded to improve the quality of life of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. We would like to request your assistance for our Eighteenth Annual Spring Raffle, to be held in May 2023.
 
We realize this is a bigger ask than usual during this time of COVID, but please consider how much more support cancer patients need now. Normally a lonely journey, cancer treatment is not only more frightening these days, due to having a lowered immune system, but patients often have to go for tests, treatments and to doctor visits alone. The support of our organization is needed more than ever.
 
Born from my desire to share knowledge acquired while undergoing treatment for breast cancer, Chemo Comfort provides kits to cancer patients with products that I found useful while undergoing chemotherapy. These products help patients manage nausea, mouth sores and hair loss, among other things. There is also literature enclosed with hints from me of ways to cope with various aspects of this experience.
 
Approximately 80% of Chemo Comfort kits distributed annually are donated through partner cancer organizations. We also make subsidized kits available to cancer patients nationwide for a minimal donation and there is a gift kit program, which helps sustain our other programs.

In May 2023, we will be holding our eighteenth annual spring raffle! We will be selling raffle tickets through our mailing list as well as outreach by our volunteers. We expect to reach a minimum of 5,000 people with our multifaceted raffle ticket selling outreach and raise 15% of our annual budget.
 
We would love to offer a raffle prize from you. Donors are acknowledged on our website, in correspondence to our supporters, on social media and some are featured on our raffle tickets.
