Junior Achievement (JA) of Orange County's 18th annual Stock Market Championship [SMC] is the organization's signature fundraising event.  This is a unique, fast-paced event where guests compete in a simulated stock market floor to see who can earn the highest portfolio value and the highest portfolio growth. Trading is fun, fast, and furious! Starting with $500,000 in fictitious stock, teams of four compete to evaluate trends and make trades to see who can earn the highest return on their investment and the highest portfolio value. At the Closing Bell, the Stock Market Champion will be crowned!

For the past 17 years, the SMC has not only served as a means of raising revenue for JA programs in Orange County, but also as a highly anticipated event and marketing mechanism for Orange County business professionals. The event also features a networking hour, silent auction and live auction, and wine and whisky pulls.

As you can imagine, Junior Achievement programs are more important than ever in today's unpredictable environment and your support ensures JA of Orange County has the funding & resources needed to continue to fulfill its mission – to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy this coming school year.
