Description

HCCI is seeking commitments for our 2022 Awards Gala.  This celebratory event will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Marina del Rey in Throgs Neck, NY.  The theme is "Resilency, Renewal, Revitalization: Building Beyond Today!  The event is a wonderful opportunity to honor individuals or organizations that have made substantial contributions to HCCI and the Harlem community at large.

For over 36 years, HCCI has made a substantial impact on the social and living conditions of Harlem by developing over 4,000 units of low to moderate income housing, securing employment for more than 3500 Harlemites; creating supportive health and human services facilities for those affected by HIV/AIDS, young adults aging out of foster care, commercial development opportunities to local businesses; expanding cultural programs.  HCCI runs an after-school program that improves scholastic achievement of elementary students with a focus on math and reading tutorials. In 2016, HCCI opened an affordable daycare facility for 150 children.  To date over 800 kids have come thorugh the program. Our financial literacy program has counseled more than 30,000 residents through group seminars and individual homeownership counseling.  Over 700 families benefitted fom the program by securing homes.

HCCI stayed opened throughout the pandemic and was declared an essential company. We provided hot meals and PPE to over 300 seniors residing in our building and ensure their basic needs were addressed.  Last year, HCCI created a thriving security personnel program and over 300 individuals received certifications.

Your support of our event will truly be appreciated!
