The Gala is a popular event that is thought of as the premier event in our community.  Not only is it fun, but it also is our main fundraiser for the year.  In addition to the 550 people who attend, we also have many who participate in the silent auction at home or help in other ways.  The funds raised are used to improval local healthcare options at our hospital, CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Sulphur Springs, and the Hopkins County Hospital District, which provides ambulance services in our community and emergency planning.

The Gala is a traditional dinner and dance that also includes live and silent auctions.  A game of Heads and Tails, as we call it locally, is enjoyed by all.  A highlight of the night is the honoring of a person or couple who has been instrumental is supporting local healthcare. 

Both healthcare and community members come together on this night to ensure Hopkins County has the best local healthcare possible.  An estimated $275,000 will be raised to improve the healthcare opportunities we have available in our own community.
