Cal Maritime is a unique and specialized campus of the 23-campus California State University system. We are one of only seven degree-granting maritime academies in the US, and the only one on the West Coast. With a student population of nearly 800, Cal Maritime is recognized as a top university for developing maritime industry leaders for the 21st Century. Our student cadets receive an education that combines intellectual learning, applied technology, leadership development, and global awareness.  
 
On Saturday, April 6, 2024, the California Maritime Academy Foundation will host its 19th Annual Gala. This is the premier fundraising event for the campus and one of the largest fun-raising and networking events for the maritime industry on the West Coast. We expect over 300 guests to join us at our premiere event at San Francisco’s Marine's Memorial. 
 
Proceeds from the Annual Gala support student scholarships that allow our cadets to receive an education that combines intellectual learning, applied technology, leadership development and global awareness. With generous contributions from donor, last year’s Annual Gala netted more than $150,000 for our students.
