I am writing on behalf of Chemo Comfort, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that I founded to improve the quality of life of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. We would like to request your assistance for our Nineteenth Annual Spring Raffle, to be held in May 2024.
 
Born from my desire to share knowledge acquired while undergoing treatment for breast cancer, Chemo Comfort provides kits to cancer patients with products that I found useful while undergoing chemotherapy. These products help patients manage nausea, mouth sores and hair loss, among other things. There is also literature enclosed with hints from me of ways to cope with various aspects of this experience.
 
Approximately 80% of Chemo Comfort kits distributed annually are donated through partner cancer organizations. We also make subsidized kits available to cancer patients nationwide for a minimal donation and there is a gift kit program, which helps sustain our other programs. We’ve been featured on Good Morning America, multiple radio shows (Bill Bradley, Shelli Sonstein, Maria Milito, Kelly Ford) and in the Metro paper.
 
In May 2024, we will be holding our nineteenth annual spring raffle! We will be selling raffle tickets through our mailing list as well as outreach by our volunteers. We expect to reach a minimum of 5,000 people with our multifaceted raffle ticket selling outreach and raise 15% of our annual budget.
 
We would love to offer a raffle prize from you. Past years’ raffle prize donors have included Norwegian Cruise Line, JetBlue, Valentino, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Mohonk Mountain House, Marc Jacobs, the W Hotel, EILEEN FISHER, Crate&Barrel, the Container Store, Cuisinart, Coach, Whole Foods, the Four Seasons, many hit Broadway shows, the NY Jets, the U.S. Tennis Open, Brooklyn Cyclones, Origins, Perricone MD, Aveda, MAC, Laura Mercier, C.O. Bigelow and many others.
