On behalf of 1Way2Rise Non-profit Co-Ed Summer Camp Sparks, I am writing to express our sincere gratitude for your consideration of sponsorship or donation of food items/gift cards that will assist in feeding youth and adults. All in support our upcoming summer camp program. Camp Sparks is dedicated to providing a transformative and enriching experience for inner-city youth in Washington DC and surrounding areas.

Camp Sparks serves as a beacon of hope for DMV youth ages 7-13 from low-income, homeless, and working-class families, offering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where campers can engage in a variety of sports, educational activities, and meaningful experiences. From June 24th to August 2nd, 2024, we will embark on a journey to empower these young individuals through our diverse range of programs and activities.

Your generous sponsorship and donations will directly contribute to covering essential expenses such as summer camp admission fees, field trips, educational sports supplies, equipment transportation, payroll, and food. With your support, we can ensure that more youth have the opportunity to attend Camp Sparks for free, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Our goal is to raise $70,000 to cover all expenses and to guarantee that our youth participants have a remarkable and unforgettable experience this summer. Every dollar raised will make a significant difference in the lives of these young individuals, providing them with access to valuable resources, mentorship, and opportunities for personal growth and development.

At Camp Sparks, we offer a wide range of activities including sports such as basketball, flag football, soccer, fishing, swimming, and fitness, as well as educational activities including writing, mathematics, STEM, coding, games, team building, and entrepreneurship workshops. Additionally, our campers will have the opportunity to participate in fun and cultural field trips and engage in community service outreach activities.

We are proud to offer scholarships to youth from low-income and homeless families, ensuring that all children have equal access to our camp experience. Camp Sparks promotes diversity, inclusion, and a non-partisan, no bullying policy, providing a supportive, encouraging, safe, and positive environment for all campers.

Our dedicated staff consists of experienced individuals who have undergone police background checks, TB shots, and CPR/First Aid certification. We also provide internship opportunities for youth ages 14 and older, allowing them to gain valuable skills in coordinating, facilitating, and creating sports and educational programs.
