Twenty years is a lot to celebrate.

Larchmont Charter School (LCS) began as a dream…that became a small schoolhouse for sixty K-thru-2 kids (and their families), who believed a world-class public education was possible. Twenty years later that dream has been realized: Today we are a thriving K-12 public charter school, serving XYZ students from all over Los Angeles, on four campuses, from Koreatown to West Hollywood. The proof is in our students:

Since 2018 we have been graduating college-ready students who are attending the best colleges and universities in California and the U.S. (see the list of our most recent college admissions below): including all the Ivy Leagues, all the UC’s, and top-rated schools around the country. Even more impressive, 35% of the 2023 graduating class at Larchmont Charter are first-generation college students, 41% of the student population is eligible for free or reduced lunch, and 98-100% of LCS seniors graduate! A record of achievement that any school would be proud of.

But Larchmont Charter is a community school that relies on our community to exist. The hard reality is every year we face a $1.8 million deficit that only fundraising will address. 

On May 10th, 2024 we will hold a Celebration & Silent Auction marking 20 years of our school, and the cornerstone of our fundraising. Every penny we raise goes directly into our classrooms: keeping class sizes small; paying for arts and music enrichment; paying for teaching assistants; and, yes, paying our rent.
