Description
The Ocean City Silent Auction is held in conjunction with the Ocean City Jazz Festival and is the product of the not for profit organization, the Ocean City Beach Citizens Council. The Ocean City Community was established in 1949 as the first coastal community in which African Americans could purchase land in NC. Revenue from the festival is used to maintain and restore the historical buildings, promote the history and preserve the culture and legacy of the community
