Description

Helping individuals and families to a Brighter Future is our mission at Provident.  We do this through our three program divisions – counseling, crisis intervention/suicide prevention, and after school programs. In 2015, over 35,000 individuals received services which could not be possible without support of the United Way, St. Louis Children Services Fund, and many other champions like you.

On Saturday, February 11, 2017, Provident will host its Spirit of Provident Gala at the Four Seasons St. Louis. We anticipate 300+ attendees, including community leaders, members of our Board of Directors and Advisory Council, volunteers, philanthropists, and partners. Our clients and constituents will share stories about the impact Provident is making in St. Louis and beyond. 2015 award winners to be honored. This is our largest fundraising event of the year with a goal of $200,000. All proceeds go directly to support Provident, a 501c3 non-profit organization. Funds raised from this event will be used to support our most pressing needs:

  • In-school counseling for St. Louis City and St. Louis County children. Behavioral health continues to be one of the largest demands within schools. Provident is expanding their K-12 in-school services. Support for in-school therapists and youth support workers permits Provident to see an additional 600 children each semester offering life skills education, individual and group therapy.
  • Life Crisis Services saves lives every day and operates using a large volume of dedicated volunteers and practicum students. With the expansion of services, such as our Feelingkindablue.com social media site for individuals battling depression, and expansion of community education, resources are needed to support this program.
  • After school programs which care for nearly 600 youth daily during the school year need support for supplies, books, community speakers, and storage cabinets.

The Spirit of Provident Gala will have a silent and live auction. Any and all support is greatly appreciated. Please consider an auction donation, such as a gift certificate, basket of items, service, prize or monetary donation.
