Description

Walk for Autism is open to the general public and is a family friendly event that offers resouce/vendor fair, raffle prizes, food, refreshments, arts & crafts, sensory friendly activities, games, inflatables and a tech tent. The event benefits the Autism Society of Alabama (ASA). This annual fundraiser helps ASA to provide the following;

*Education - scholarships for parents, teacher & professionals to attend conferences annually.

*Safety - autism safety, wandering and emergencies to ensure all ASD families and community leaders are prepared.

*Advocacy - Legislative day each year in Mongomery encouraging families to be proactive in their fight for equal services for all disabilities.

*Respite - provides families with 20 hours of respite annually to allow for caregivers to refresh their mind, body and soul.

*Family - parent networking groups in about 20 counties around the state
