The Greenville Chamber of Commerce created a Foundation in order to give back each year to one of our non profit members who have impacted our community.  We have a silent/live auction with an auctioneer each year.  It is always a different theme.  This year it will be "It's Your Move!"--Chamberopoly Auction (Monoploy themed).  We have a cocktail hour with appetizers and entertainment and then dinner afterwards.  In 2017 Raffa Clinic received the funds from the auction.  Raffa Clinic is a medical clinic that provides early pregnancy services and parent education at no cost to the recipients.  Their funds were used to create a program called Raising Highly Capable Kids by educating parents to help children succeed in school, decision making and positive life choices.  Last  year in 2018 CASA of Hunt County received the funds.  CASA retains volunteer advocates for children in the foster care system who have come mainly from abusive homes.  Last year, CASA in Hunt County had 184 new children who entered the system.  Their funds were used to purchase work stations which included desks, chairs, computers and printers for their 66 volunteers who advocate for about 200 children in our area.
