Description

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

In just one day in 2018 in Massachusetts, 1,785 survivors of domestic violence (DV) were helped ; 755 DV survivors found refuge in emergency shelters or transitional housing provided by local DV programs, 1,030 adults and children received non-residential assistance and services, including counseling, legal advocacy, and children's support groups. (nnedv.org)

FCR is one of only 48 agencies across the state helping to support survivors of domestic violence through our advocacy, DPH Licensed mental health services and support group programs.

On October 19, 2019, FCR will hold a 5K walk through DW Field Park in Brockton, MA as part of our month of programming.  All proceeds will benefit FCR's support services for our clients who are adult, adolescent and child survivors of DV.  The walk will end with a cookout, family friendly activities and a raffle!   We are seeking in-kind donations for our family friendly raffle packages!  All donations will be recognized on our website, social media and at the event.

Individuals caught in an abusive relationship face overwhelming difficulties and must overcome obstacles to leave the situation.  Your support will help put an end to domestic violence and bring peace and safety to the families we serve.  Thank you.
