Since 1978, North Shore Montessori School has been educating young students, ages 18 months to 6 years, using the Montessori method, a child-centered teaching philosophy developed by the forward-thinking Italian physician Maria Montessori. The Montessori method values the development of the whole child and allows a student to learn at his or her own pace under the guidance of highly trained teachers.  Our alumni grow to become knowledgeable, capable individuals who love to learn and have a strong sense of self. 

On February 7, we will hold our main fundraiser for the year at our school. This year’s theme is PJs and DJ! It will be a fun, family-friendly event, open to the community, and proceeds from sponsorships, ticket sales and basket raffles will go towards essential materials for our classrooms, programmatic offerings, and financial aid. Our goal is to raise $25,000, which will allow us to maintain our high standard of education and importantly to make our program accessible to additional families through scholarship assistance.
