Gala/Party for Hope Alzheimers CenterOct 01, 2021 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
The "Building Hope” Soiree is the signature fund-raising event for the nonprofit Hope Alzheimer’s Center in Cranston, RI. This year, the Soiree will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at the center. Business leaders and community members will join together with caregiver families, past and present, for an elegant evening featuring art work that celebrates the lives of those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of memory loss. There will be a live auction emceed by WPRI anchor Mike Montecalvo, silent auction, hors d'oeuvres, wines, desserts and music. The goal is to raise $50,000 for Hope Alzheimer’s Center.
Hope fills a vital need for families who are confronted with the harsh realities of Alzheimer's disease. Because of our unique center, caregivers are often able to keep their loved ones at home, rather than a nursing home, far longer than they would otherwise be able. Just as importantly, caregivers are able to tend to work and other responsibilities during the day with the peace mind of knowing that their family members are safe, happy, and well cared for. With nearly 75 percent of client days provided to publicly subsidized program participants, care is affordable even for those with marginal or moderate incomes. We rely on fund-raising support to allow us to provide access to care for those in need regardless of socioeconomic status and to bring new and innovative programming to our participants. Our Facebook page includes our favorite photos of some of the events and activities that take place at the center.
