Dear Friends and Supporters,

It is with grateful hearts that we anticipate release from the restrictions due tothe COVID-19 pandemic.  Thanks to the dedication of our administrators and staff, our residents were spared much of the brunt such and experience creates for the elderly.  Our residents are eager to return to "the way things were".

Dominican Village conscientiously seeks ways to provide for the special needs of its residents without passing on additional expenses to them; however, the restrictions imposed during the pandemic forced us to cancel our ususal fundraising events which are essential if Domincan Village is to maintain that goal.  Anticipating a return to "normalcy" by October, we are now preparing for our Fun Fall Frenzy Auction (formerly our Chinese Auction Extravaganza).  This year's event will be held on Friday, October 15th from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. 

As in pre-covid years, there will be more than 100 baskets for raffle with separate raffles for "gold prizes" including flat screen TV's, designer handbags, Apple products, lottery trees, gift cards and more.  The event will also include a wine grab raffle.

If you are unable to attend the event, you may view the items and submit raffle chances onthe same day, from 12:00 - 4:00p.m. in the Helen Butler Hall.  Winners need not be present.

Your donations are greatly appreciated!  Please see the donor opportunity page and support us in any way you can.  Your donation items may be dropped off daily on or before Monday, September 27th at Dominican Village, 55 Albany Avenue, Amityville NY  from 9:00 - 7:00 p.m. or you may schedule a pickup of your donated item(s).

The residents and staff are sincerely grateful for the many who supported us during the pandemic and kept our spirits high when there was no end in sight.  We hope this spirit of generosity continues as we return to "the way things were".

Dominican Village is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian senior housing/assisted living faciltiy founded by the Sisters of St. Dominic.  Currently serving over two hundred residents, its mission is "to provide a supportive environment in which the sacredness of life and the dignity of each person are held in the highest regard.  We offer our residents a choice of programs and services which foster independence, promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and maximize opportunities for socialization."
