2021 Jazz Champagne Brunch
Online Auction for Venice Community Housing CorporationSep 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Venice Community Housing (VCH) was founded in 1988 as a grassroots movement to develop comprehensive solutions to a growing homeless population and an increasing need for local affordable housing for low-income individuals and families. In 1994, VCH responded to a violent gang war in the community by broadening its focus beyond housing. Since then, VCH has embraced its role as a solutions-based organization that eliminates barriers preventing low-income people from being successful, contributing citizens.
Today, VCH owns 208 units of affordable and supportive housing in 14 properties throughout Venice, Mar Vista, and Del Rey. The organization operates an additional 28 units of short-term housing for families and transitional age youth (18-24) experiencing homelessness in three properties through the Roots to Grow and Westminster TLC programs.
Each year, hundreds of supporters gather to celebrate Venice Community Housing’s (VCH) accomplishments at the Jazz Champagne Brunch. This event is the organization’s largest annual fundraiser, and the program typically includes local speakers, a silent auction, and a musical performance. This year, Jazz will be virtual due to Covid-19, but we still expect 200-300 attendees.
All of the funds raised at VCH’s annual Jazz Champagne Brunch go directly toward the organization’s programming. In addition to your donation being tax-deductible, you will benefit from exposure of your company’s name to a network of over 3,000 VCH stakeholders. All silent auction donors are recognized in our digital event program, our web site, and in our event-related social media and e-mail communications.
