Description

The San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Awareness (SACADA) is hosting our annual charity luncheon on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Omni Hotel at the Colonnade in San Antonio, Texas. Our keynote speaker will be Becky Savage of the 525 Foundation. Becky is a mother of two boys, ages 18 and 19, who died on the same night of an overdose of alcohol and oxycodone. She is speaks on the opioid epidemic in the United States. We will have a raffle and silent auction. Anticipated attendees is 350 community members. 

All proceeds will benefit SACADA's Youth Prevention programs and presentation done in schools in Bexar and surrounding counties. SACADA's Youth Prevention Specialist teach children, ages 6-18, the consequences of substance use, social and emotional skills, how to deal with peer pressure, how to make informed decisions, communication skills, and how to live a drug-free life. All classes and presentations are at no cost to the school and participants.
