The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth will hold our 2021 Sun & Star Legacy Award Dinner and Silent Auction on Monday, October 4, at the Omni Frisco Hotel. We would like to request an auction donation of merchandise, gift certificates, or services.
This prestigious international event will pay tribute to our distinguished award recipients. Ambassador Kenichiro Sasae, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the United States (2012-2018) and current President of The Japan Institute of International Affairs, and his wife Nobuko Sasae, President of the Nobuko Forum Japan and conference interpreter, will receive the Sun & Star Legacy Award for fostering cooperation and friendship between the U.S. and Japan. Anna McFarland will receive the Bridges-to-Friendship Award for her contributions to North Texas-Japan relations as the Executive Director of the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth from 1997 to 2019.
As a donor, you will receive prominent exposure to a targeted audience of 400-500 guests, including American and Japanese executives of major corporations. Your name will appear in the auction display, printed program, and online catalog reaching more than 450,000 potential shoppers.
Auction proceeds will support business, cultural, and educational programs that nurture friendship and cultural exchange between Japanese and Texans in the DFW community. The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth is a Texas non-profit corporation qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your contribution is tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
