Our organization works statewide to advocate for the rights and welfare of women and women’s issues.  We are a 501(c)(6) non-profit (EIN #58-1393267). We advance these goals by encouraging women attorneys to participate in community outreach and pro bono work, and we lobby the state legislature to pass legislation that will benefit women (and men) across North Carolina.  We are a nonpartisan organization, and we recently celebrated our 40th anniversary!

Another key part of our mission is to encourage strong, driven, and intelligent women to enter the legal profession.  One way we achieve this is by offering an annual scholarship to two women students studying law in North Carolina to assist with the cost of their legal education.  We fund this scholarship through donations along with the proceeds of a silent auction conducted each year at our annual conference.

Our annual conference will be held this year in Durham, NC.  We will host our annual banquet and silent auction on October 15, 2022. We are anticipating approximately 100 attendees from across the state of North Carolina.  Our goal is to raise $4000 to fund scholarships for deserving women law students. This is our first silent auction in two years due to the Covid pandemic.
