This year, BRAVO, the Ballet Resource and Volunteer Organization of the New Orleans Ballet Association, is proud to announce the 2022 Gala to be held at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans on Friday, May 13, 2022. Attendees will enjoy a spectacular ball with the luxurious treatment, fun, and creativity that have become the hallmark of BRAVO’s Gala events.

The chosen theme, Achieve the Impossible, echoes the tale of Don Quixote, the world-famous story to be majestically performed by the American Ballet Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15, 2022. Gala guests will be joined by the spectacular dancers of America’s National Ballet Company® which will be performing in New Orleans for the first time in nearly 50 years.

In addition to the Gala evening, the full Achieve the Impossible experience includes a Benefactor Dinner at the elegant Windsor Court Hotel on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, and tickets to the full Main Stage presentation of Don Quixote—the company’s compelling and irresistibly fun portrayal of Cervantes’ famous masterpiece of a man’s adventurous and impractical pursuit of idealistic goals—at the Mahalia Jackson Theater on your choice of Saturday, May 14 or Sunday, May 15, 2022. Benefactors will also receive a treasured gift from Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry, in addition to VIP treatment for the Gala and full performances on May 14 or 15.

The night will begin with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., and doors will open for the gala dinner in the ballroom at 7:15 p.m., featuring a spectacular three-course menu; entertainment by Julio y César, a raffle, a silent auction, and more!

The theme, Achieve the Impossible, is also apropos for the City of New Orleans, whose citizens choose to rise above adversity and obstacles to see the world as it should be and to bask in the glow of world-renowned music, food, and diversity. We appreciate your years of support and engagement with all of NOBA’s programs, including the presentation of world class performances in our city and over 5,500 dance classes, workshops, and activities each year—all tuition free. Through this event, BRAVO proudly contributes to realizing the dreams of thousands of youth and enriching our community through the joy and transformative power of dance.
