Dear Friends and Supporters of Dominican Village,

Dominican Village is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian senior housing/assisted living facility founded by the Sisters of St. Dominic. Currently serving over two hundred residents, its mission is “to provide a supportive environment in which the sacredness of life and the dignity of each person are held in the highest regard.

Dominican Village conscientiously seeks ways to provide for the special needs of its residents without passing on additional expenses to them. We are now preparing for our Fall Frenzy Auction (formerly titled Chinese Auction Extravaganza).  As in the past, there will be baskets for raffle with separate raffles for “gold prizes” including flat screen TV’s, designer handbags/wallets, lottery trees, gift cards and more. The event will also include a wine grab raffle.     

Register early for this special event to be held Friday, November 4th from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. in the Helen Butler Hall. Dinner will be served buffet style. If you are unable to attend the event, you may view the items and submit raffle chances on Thursday, November 3rd and on the same day of main event, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Helen Butler Hall. Winners need not be present.

It takes several months for a group of exceptional volunteers to coordinate, wrap, and record the many baskets for raffle, so we are asking our friends and supporters to view the attached donor opportunity page and support us in any way you can. Your donation items may be dropped off daily on or before Friday, October 14th    at Dominican Village, 565 Albany Avenue, Amityville NY, from 9:00–7:00 p.m. or you may schedule a pickup of your donated item(s). 

The residents and staff are sincerely grateful for the many who supported us throughout the years, and we look forward to seeing you at the event.
