Description

Join us as we celebrate our 7th year of inspiring and empowering a new generation of diverse filmmakers.

On Friday, December 9, 2022, Film2Future will celebrate our students' short films at our annual Gala held this year at Quixote Studios. Hollywood guests will be on hand to honor our 2022 Changemaker Award Recipient, Chris Mack, Director of Grow Creative at Netflix. This special evening - centered on the theme "Be the Light" - is the culmination of months of work by our student filmmakers and hundreds of professionals from across the film industry who volunteer as mentors and speakers in our program.

Film2Future is a nonprofit working to build an equitable pipeline for underserved Los Angeles youth to achieve careers in the entertainment industry. Each year, our students learn from top industry professionals such as Jason Katims (Showrunner, Friday Night Lights), Loren Bouchard (Director/Writer, The Bob's Burger Movie), and Wyatt Cenac (Comedian/Actor/Writer, Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas) the professional skills needed for careers as creators. Film2Future then works with our partners to secure them paid internships and jobs and launch them on their professional journeys. This year we are marking a major milestone of 92 paid positions secured for our students.

We hope you will join us in celebrating our students, mentors, and partners that are working together to build a more diverse and inclusive Hollywood.
