The Ocean City Silent Auction is a three-day annual event held over the July 4th weekend. It is sponsored by the not for profit organization, the Ocean City Beach Citizens Council. The Silent Auction is held in conjunction with the Ocean City Jazz Festival in North Topsail Beach, NC. This is the highest tourism weekend for the resort island of Topsail Island with 15,000 visitors per day. The revenue from the auction is used to promote the history and preserve the historical buildings in the community. The now diverse community was established in 1949, as the first coastal community in North Carolina in which African Americans could purchase land, 15 years before the Civil Rights Act.

During the event, all attendees will receive a goody bag containing donated promotional items, coupons/bouncebacks. Donated items will be listed in the silent auction pamplet. All sponsors will be listed on our website, social media sites and in the event program. In addition, any brochures will be displayed with the auction item.
