Description

The Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir Benefit Concert and Auction ensures every child who wants to sing in our ensembles receives a welcoming, affirming and rigorous music education.

Proceeds from the Benefit support our programs: creating new music, empowering diverse young voices in our community, and building compassionate global citizens through song.

2022 marks 40 years of transforming the lives of East Bay children and youth through the choral arts.  Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir continues to create lifelong friendships, highly accomplished young musicians, and committed and curious global citizens. With support from our generous community, over 10,000  young people have sung in our choirs, premiering over 70 new choral works by diverse composers, and touring in cultural exchange to 26 countries.

The Fund a Need this year supports the 2023 Golden Gate International Chidlren's and Youth Choral Festival.

The 2023 Golden Gate International Children's and Youth Choral Festival will be an unforgettable week of concerts, competitions, special events, and cultural exchange.
In a world filled with borders, the Golden Gate Festival offers a rare opportunity for children to build bridges.
The Golden Gate bridge symbolizes the connection of two worlds - travel, conversation, and understanding between cultures.

Mission:

Our mission is to advance the choral arts through education, performance, and collaboration at the highest artistic level, fostering individual development and international relationships. The Choir is both an educational institution and an arts organization. The two are inextricably linked and intertwined. We believe that music is beneficial for children, and that choral singing is a deeply wholesome, invigorating, enriching practice.
